Moving through western sections of the county is possible with routes 23 and 3, in addition to 161, which passes through Clifton. Totowa is serviced by Route 62.

Travelers can also find U.S. Route 202 running north-south only in Wayne Township or U.S. Route 46 traversing east-west along any part of its route. Interstate 80 runs east-west through the county, while Interstate 287 adds convenience by passing through the mountainside regions of Passaic County.
